First of all, you need to decide what type of party you are going to throw. Are you going to make it an indoor or outdoor College Dorm party? Are you going to throw a sporting event-themed gathering or a ”free-for-all” rager? These are the important questions that need to be asked before the party even starts.
The best advice we can give you is to invite only your closest friends and tell them how many people are going to be in attendance beforehand. This way you can keep the party to your friends and not to others. Don’t make it look like a room full of strangers who are going to just walk in and out of the house for no reason at all.
Guests:
Now that you have decided what kind of party is going to be held, it is time to go out and find the perfect guest list. The guest list is very important because it will determine the type of mood you want to bring to the party. A College Dorm party full of immature students and their stupid antics will not be anything fun at all. So, if you have an idea what kind of people you want, then go out and find them!
There are plenty of ways to do this as well. You can invite your closest friends through Facebook to see who is attending your event or you can ask a few of your friends from school to join in with you. Invitation:
The next step is to get everything you’re going to need from your dorm room. You need items such as party supplies, decorations, games, food, and drinks up in the air! So check out our dorm room ideas! For this post, we decided to do a collage of all things that you can IMDB or MovieBabble related. Then we made a poster out of the IMDB images. With this, your guests will know where to go and will have fun reading all the information on the poster as well.
Now that everything is here you are ready for night one of your fun-filled party!
First PartyNight:
This is up to you how you want to start your Dorm party but whatever you decide, make sure that everyone knows about it beforehand. Otherwise, your party could be ruined before it even starts. Well, once everyone has arrived you will want to play a few games before the party actually starts. We had tons of fun playing the game “Need for speed”, and we wanted to share it with our guests.
After the games have finished, it is time for some food! We took a plate full of snacks from our couch and threw them in front of our TV. Then, it is time to set up your decorations. Our table was placed on one side of the room but you can place it anywhere you wish. We placed our bedsheets on the other side of the room and used them to cover our dresser. This gave the party a more college like feel.
After that, it was time for guests to start arriving. Our friends were happy to see all of their favorite X-Men characters, so we had a great time welcoming everyone. Once everyone was here we got started with the games! We played “Need for speed” again, but this time it was filling out our custom poster. We gave the guests two minutes to select their favorite cars and how they drive.
We then had a huge X-Men trivia contest where we showed each person a scene from each movie. They had to guess what movie it was and who was in it. From there, we gave them the answers and told them if they were right or not. The winner won the prize of an “Uncanny X-Men” and ”X2” DVD set! After all that, we put on the movie and had fun watching it together.
2nd and 3rd Night:
The last two nights of the party we had no real plans for. Everyone just hung out, watched the movie, and had fun doing whatever they wanted to do. It was a great bonding experience for us all and we hope you enjoy it as well!
