Tech recyclers have set world record by knocking over 2,910 laptops in the shape of dominoes. The incredible record was attempted on May 13 at the Technology Recyclers headquarters in the United States. Guinness World Records shared the achievement on its official Instagram account.
“Tech-recyclers (USA) epic laptop domino teamwork,” they wrote while sharing the video on Instagram with various hashtags, including #dominoes, #laptop, and #recycling. The video shows laptops laid out in a long curvy line on the floor, toppled over in the shape of dominoes.
According to a Guinness World Records blog post, tech recyclers hold the world record for “most laptops collapsed in the shape of dominoes.” The company pursued registration to promote the importance of ethical recycling and increase its impact through the volume of e-waste recycled.
“We had a wonderful time planning and executing this event. The day made our employees delve into our history and understand the importance of what we do. Now we are going to use the images, videos and stories to increase the impact in Indiana and the importance of recycling computers and electronics everywhere. We are the official sponsors of tomorrow,” Dale Needleman, a partner at Technology Recyclers, told Guinness World Records.
