While not every car proved to be drool-worthy of the game, we have compiled a list of the 10 coolest cars spread over the series.
Here we go!
1. Ford Mustang Fastback 1967
The Ford Mustang is one of the most fantastic cars to appear in the Tokyo Drift film. It was driven by Sean Boswell, who found it on the army base.
Sean could race and win Takashi down the mountain; this is when Takashi’s car seared off the edge towards the mountain bottom, where it crashed. The reason could be because the car had an improved suspension system, with its engine having been transplanted from Nissan Silvia S15, and this made it powerful.
2. Mitsubishi Eclipse GS
Mitsubishi Eclipse GS was driven by Brian O’Conner. It’s one of the powerful cars belonging to the Sports Compact, which brings a mixture of pleasure and admiration. Brain referred to it as “the green car”. Mitsubishi Eclipse GS made sports cars become popular. And though it was destroyed, it helped Dominic Toretto escape the police.
3. 1970 Dodge Charger R/T
1970 Dodge Charger R/T was a major car driven by Dominic Toretto and was used for street racing.
The car looks good with a Platinum Pearl. It has HRE 446 wheels which are more durable and stronger with more oxidation and corrosion resistance. Besides, it has high-performance tires of Toyo 275/30ZR-19 with a good grip in wet areas. Unfortunately, the Dodge Charger model is expected to cease production soon.
4. Toyota Supra Mark IV
Toyota Supra Mark IV was one of the most iconic sports cars that rose to fame in the Fast and Furious. It was driven by Brian O’Conner. The fastest orange Toyota Supra was considered the best with a high-performance speed as used in Furious 7, 2 Fast 2 Furious, and The Fast and the Furious.
5. Mazda RX-7
The car was driven by Sean Boswell and Han in the Tokyo Drift for drifting purposes. It contained Veilside 19 wheels and Pirelli P Zero 19 tires, perfect for any top-performing car. With the Rotora brake system providing exceptional modulation, the car is a good fit for the Mazda fans, and soon, the car might return to production.
6. Honda S2000
The car appeared in The Fast and the Furious as driven by Johnny Tran. Tran managed to defeat Jesse because his car had the premium Nissan SR20 engine. The S2000 could use NOS (Nitrous oxide) more efficiently, the reason why he won despite Jesse also using NOS in his car. Read more about Kia Cerato Sedan: The Practical Car for Your Needs
Honda S2000 had exceptional power output with Motegi Racing 18” rims and a high-performance 4-cylinder. No wonder Tran managed the street racing and evaded the cops. Its production ceased in 2009.
7. Acura NSX
The car appeared in Fast & Furious and F5, driven by Mia Toretto. In the former, the car can be spotted when Dom was serving his 25 years in prison.
The Acura NSX had a 6-speed manual that gave it the best combination of power and fuel consumption. Again, the model was configured to include NSX-R suspensions with sound brakes, wheels, and excellent exterior parts, not forgetting a cylinder engine with 295 hp and 213lbs. Ft torque. This tells you how strong the car engine was.
8. Nissan Skyline GT-R34
The major car was driven by Brian O’ Conner in 2 Fast 2 Furious for street racing. It has the Sparco harness, perfect for a smooth ride. Besides, the car has reliable performance with a twin-turbo DOGC 6, and a volume of 3.8L, which was perfectly okay for the internal combustion engine.
9. 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX
Sean Boswell used the car to teach himself how to drift. And once he mastered the skills, he used them to win over Takashi and Morimoto in the Tokyo Drift.
It was a new Lancer Evolution IX, taken up by Sean after he crashed the Nissan Silvia while drifting. Drifting became easy as the front driveshafts were disconnected to make it an RWD car. It was also replaced with AutoMeter gauges and the seat belts upgraded to JMD-Takata 4-point harness, which are meant to soften the deceleration when the car bumps.
10. Jensen Interceptor
The minor car was driven by Letty Ortiz and featured in Fast & Furious 6. It’s a model that worked so well with a replacement of a raw V8. The car performed as an AWD, with a perfect styling that allowed for not too few rolls as it bent. However, a new Jensen Interceptor preceded the car with an aluminum body having a 4-seat grand tourer.
Conclusion
And the list goes on. Cars are not the only coolest thing you can find in this Franchise but it also features some of the best and most incredible tech products that you can only find by watching all the movies in order. So, have a good time this weekend and enjoy Fast & Furious movies.
