As Justin Beiber faints on stage, this time lot of questions are asked as to What really is happening to the star performer? as fans are increasingly becoming jittery about his well being.
Justin Bieber had to be taken to hospital after fainting on stage in front of thousands of fans at London’s O2 Arena.
The Canadian pop star needed a 20-minute break from the concert and was given oxygen after collapsing with shortness of breath, his spokeswoman said.
The 19-year-old managed to return to the stage to finish the show, but Sky sources said he was taken to hospital afterwards for checks.
The singer later published a picture of himself in a hospital bed after being checked by doctors for breathing problems.
The singer, who uploaded the pictures to his Instagram account, also thanked fans for supporting him while he “figures out” what happened.
He said: “Getting better. thanks for everyone pulling me thru tonight. best fans in the world. figuring out what happened. thanks for the love.”
In a video posted by a fan on YouTube, Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun tells the audience: “Justin got very light of breath, the whole show he’s been complaining. He’s backstage with the EMTs (paramedics) and the doctor.
“They’re telling him they want him to go and see somebody and find out what’s going on with his lungs, he’s just told me that in five minutes, if it’s okay with you guys, he’s going to come out and finish the show.
“So he might not be jumping around as much and everything else, you guys need to be patient with us, we’re not trying to be disrespectful, we’re not trying to get you guys home late, we’re truly trying to put on a show for the people who love him.”
A spokeswoman for the singer later said he had ignored doctors orders to rest and insisted on finishing the concert.
He had not been suffering from any health complaints before the show, she added.
Fans started circulating the hashtag #justintakeabreak on Twitter after news of his collapse spread.
One fan tweeted: “Biebers not well and has gone off stage!
“He literally was so out of breath on stage in the middle of beauty and a beat and then went off!”
She later added: “Aww @justinbieber came back in stage after the doctors told him not to and he was incredible #believe #inspiration.”
Bieber was performing for the third out of four nights at London’s O2 Arena as part of the European leg of his sold-out Believe world tour.
Some fans have been asking whether the stage collapse was calculated to win back their affection after he was slammed for a late appearance earlier in the week. One tweeted: “Justin Bieber was not sick, it’s a publicity stunt to make up for his late show.”
He turned up as much as two hours late for the first concert – although the star tweeted hours later that he had only been delayed by 40 minutes and blamed “technical issues”.
The singer, known for his high-energy stage dancing, has been pictured making the most of London’s nightlife since he arrived in the capital last week.
